Randall “Randy” Ray Moore passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the age of 60. He was born to Billy Ray and Lois Crawford Moore on Feb. 15, 1953, in Frost. Randy was a graduate of Frost High School, Austin College (Sherman) and Texas Tech Law School.
In his professional life, Randy clerked for the Seventh Court of Appeals of Texas in Amarillo, was an associate at Windle Turley Law Firm in Dallas and co-founded the Hyatt, Crabtree and Moore Law Firm in Dallas. During his career, he served on the Board of Directors for the State Bar of Texas and was active in the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Randy participated in Texas High School Mock Trial and had the honor of being a keynote speaker for the Texas High School Mock Trial Annual Competition.
Randy’s two children were his greatest pride and joy, and he loved every minute spent with them, whether it was playing cards, putting together puzzles or watching them participate in extracurricular activities. He was an accomplished photographer and avid dancer. He enjoyed photographing family and friends, helping others memorialize their memories.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Chandler Moore, and son, Grayson Moore, of Dallas; brother Jeff Moore of Frost; sister Jana Campbell of Hillsboro; aunt Rita Hollingsworth of Blooming Grove; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Leah Hidde-Gregory officiating.
