Selma Ann Baggett, 63, of Emhouse passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at Navarro Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1950 in Corsicana.
Ann was a great cook, and her children believed she made the best enchiladas and banana nut cake around. She had a way with roses, making flowers grow when others had given up. She loved Boston Terriers. Ann came from a large, lively family that gathered often for great family times in Emhouse. She was a member of Emhouse Baptist Church.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Keely Selmer Anderson and Lois Ann Easterling Anderson; her husband Vestal Ray Baggett; sister Mary Willis; and niece Renee DeRusha McMahon.
She is survived by children Sam and wife Leslie Kirk, William and wife Deanna Kirk, and Dawn Owen; grandchildren Johnny Owen, Sidney Kirk, Jordan Kirk, Skylar Kirk, and Haley Owen; sister Georgia Christine Holcomb and husband Roy Don; and brother Martin DeRusha. She is also survived by best friend Kay Bowman, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Ann chose cremation, and there will be a private graveside service at Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the House of Refuge, the Navarro County Food Pantry, or The Salvation Army would be appreciated.
Arrangements by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
