Margaret Fredella Bonner, 89, lifetime resident of the Corsicana area, died January 10, 2014, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. Her body has been donated to medical science.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Nader and Brother Otis Connor officiating.
She was born to William Paul and Bessie Mae (Cole) Conn on Sept. 27, 1924, in Wortham. She married Chester Lee Bonner on Aug. 31, 1942. They resided in Pursley from 1957 to 2012. More recently, Margaret and Chester resided together at TriSun Care Center in Corsicana.
Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Conna Bonner Whitecotton; her parents; and three brothers, John William Conn, Paul Conn Jr., and Vernon Lloyd Conn.
Survivors include her husband, Chester L. Bonner; sister, Betty Conn Ward; granddaughter Laurel and her husband James Hoover; great-grandson, Connar Gauge Hoover of Pursley; as well as two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church and Hand in Hand Hospice of Corsicana.
