Calden Ann Hawkins, affectionately called “Carolyn,” 56, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born Jan. 27, 1957 in Corsicana to the parentage of Vernell Jackson and Ruby Lee Hawkins. She received her formal education in the Corsicana School District and professed a faith in Christ and united with the Thirteenth Avenue Christian Church. Calden’s previous employment included private sitting . She loved her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Marcus, Charles Ray and Bobbie Ray “SA” Hawkins.
Calden is survived by her three children; Curdius Hawkins, Walter Hawkins (LaTonya) and Danta Hawkins; special friend of 32 years, Michael Fields; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings; Earline Richardson and husband Roy Lee, Betty Ward and husband William Lee; Dollie Alexander; O.B. Hawkins and wife Minnie; Leonard Hawkins and wife Lola; Marvin Hawkins, Michael Jackson and wife Christie and Vernell Jackson, Jr.; special cousins, Kathleen, Mary Alice and Lisa Thomas; other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Woodland Memorial Park and Interment to follow with Pastor E. McGilvery officiating.
Pallbearers are Charles Brown, Terry Hawkins, Eddie Hawkins, Jimmie Hawkins, Spencer Norris and Melvin Cole, II.
