Kenneth Dervin Anderson, 63, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 in Corsicana.
He was born April 6, 1949, in Dallas to Lois Faye Anderson and Edgar Dervin Anderson. Kenneth went to school in Dallas and Corsicana and spent most of his life in Corsicana.
His passion was music, and he loved to play his guitar. His most beloved musicians were Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. He also enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams to cheer on were the Cowboys, Rangers and Mavericks.
Kenneth was an incredible friend to many. His kind, gentle nature awarded him the love and admiration of the community of Corsicana and countless friends and family. He was a special kind of person that loved, and was loved by everyone.
Kenneth was a father figure and protector to his beloved nieces Cindy Kirk, Wendi Kirk, Linda Kirk and Donna Terry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Dervin Anderson; and brother, Kevin Ray Anderson.
Survivors include his mother, Lois Faye Anderson; sisters, Linda Sue Anderson, Jewell Faye Anderson and Barbara Reynolds; brothers, Roy Bradley, Steve Bradley, Edgar Anderson, Elvis Anderson, Alvin Anderson, Dennis Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kenneth will be laid to rest near his father and grandparents at Patterson Cemetery, County Road 1126 in Emhouse. There will be a graveside memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, with Bro. Marc Smith of Landmark Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with funeral costs.
