Bill Chandler, 78, of Eureka passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.
He was born March 21, 1934, in Eureka, to Paul Chandler and Audra Hodge Chandler. He was a lifelong resident of Eureka as a cattle rancher. He was a member of Eureka Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Audra Chandler; infant son, Bruce Wayne Chandler; and daughter, LaNell Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Chandler of Eureka; daughter, Leisa Martin of Eureka; grandchildren, Jerry Don Ware of Eureka, Wade Youngblood and wife Josie of Corpus Christie, Jesse Martin and wife Kristin of Bedford, Victoria Martin of Eureka; great grandchildren, Chandler Ware, Asher Vavra, Brooklan Ware and Alena Ware and special cousin, Aileen Tanner of Eureka.
Visitation was held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Cotton and the Rev. Amy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Brunton, Glen Smith, Danny Combs, Dayton Tanner, Richard Rash and Coy Hodge.
Honorary Pallbearers are W.M. Montgomery, R.B. Wallis, Jack Owens, Calvin Knauth, Sammy Thomas, Bobby Armstrong, Herman Gullatt, Howard Weempe, Vic Howell, Glendon Thomas, Robert Boyd and Mike Drain.
