She graduated from Richland High School in 1933 and then attended Tyler Commercial College. She married the love of her life, Melvin Traweek on Dec. 19, 1936; they were married for 65 wonderful years. They were blessed with four children: Linda Jane, Melvin Larry, Jimma Lanelle, and Lonny Gregory. She was president of the Richland Cemetery Association, election judge, a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was secretary, cashier, and credit manager for 16 years at the Big Four Shoe store in Corsicana. She had an active lifestyle and enjoyed painting, quilting, jazzercise, and genealogy. Spending time with children and with her family brought her much joy. She worked her entire 97 years in preparation to meet her Lord. It is difficult to express in words how amazing she was and how many lives she touched. She will be missed by many.
