Lorelle Wright Dyer, 84, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 24, 2014.

She was born to William Randolph Wright and Nelle Earle Wright on Feb. 8, 1930, in Brownsville. At an early age she moved to Raymondville, Texas, with her family. After her father died the family moved to Kerrville where she graduated from Tivy High School

Lorelle attended The University of Texas and graduated with a bachelor of science in education. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She taught in the Austin public school system for a year and a half until she married J.M. Dyer III. and moved to Corsicana.

She was very active at St. John's Episcopal Church and taught Sunday school for 25 years. She also served on the vestry, altar guild and as a delegate to diocesan convention many times.

She loved to travel and went with her husband on a trip around the world, a photographic safari in Africa and a boat trip up the Amazon River as well as numerous trips to Europe and Asia.

Lorelle was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randolph Earle Wright; and her son, Brian Earle Dyer.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James Mason Dyer III; son, James Mason Dyer IV (Jim) of Corsicana; daughter, Diane Dyer Campbell and husband William Jefferson Campbell (Bill); and two grandsons, William Jefferson Campbell Jr.  and Andrew Dyer Campbell of Houston; and her nephew, Randolph Wright of Erie, Pennsylvania.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her devoted care givers, Ida Mosely and Adine Cumbie who took such good care of her for these last 10 months.

No formal visitation is planned
