Rosesherry Sutton Carty, 69, passed away in Corsicana on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.
Rosesherry was born in Electra, Texas on Jan. 12, 1943 to Scott L. and Maudie (Melton) Sutton. She grew up in Mineral Wells and graduated from Mineral Wells High School. She went on to Weatherford College. On March 14, 1963 she married William J. Carty and they made their home in Lancaster.
She worked for Southwest Land and Title for 10 years as the executive secretary for the board of directors. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove and served as a PTA officer. She enjoyed shopping, sewing and fishing. She loved auctions, gardening and above all her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, John Scotty Sutton and David LeRoy Sutton.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” J. Carty; son Will Carty and his wife, Kim of Red Oak; daughter, Becky Craig and her husband, Mike of Frost; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Sutton and his wife, Sherry and Jimmy Hittinger and his wife, Barbara as well as one sister, Ally Jo Schrader.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 in Dresden Cemetery at 5 p.m.
