Pat married Wayne L. “Scott” Watkins on Nov. 10, 1951. She started her nursing career for Dr. John Griffin at Medical Arts Clinic in Corsicana in 1958.

The family moved to Lovington, N. M. in 1962 where she continued nursing for a local physician and later became a surgical nurse supervisor of Lea General Hospital until 1982. They moved back to Corsicana and she worked for PEDIA at Navarro County Health Department with Pearl Reynolds and other nursing staff until she retired in 2005 due to health reasons. She worked as a dedicated nurse for over 30 years. She was also a very talented seamstress and was noted in her work. She was a lady of many talents; she also enjoyed oil painting as a hobby.

Pat remained a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lovington, N. M. and that was always her church home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Scott Watkins; her parents, Anna Clay and John Braly and her sister, Naomi Arnold.

Pat is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jack McMath of Corsicana, and three grandsons; Justin Hooper of Ft. Worth, Jason Hooper and wife, Amee of Corsicana, and Bankston McMath and wife Brittany of Corsicana. She is also survived by four great-grandsons; Shane Hooper, Jackson McMath, Clark Hooper and Tucker McMath all of Corsicana. She was known as “Mee-Mee” by all her children and loved them dearly as they did her. All of her family will miss her and we all loved her very much.
