Two words: Code Enforcement

I seem to recall an old saying, perhaps printed on a Chinese fortune cookie or from a wrapper on the toy in a box of Cracker Jack.

“A picture is worth a thousand words,” the saying goes.

Well, in line with our chosen topic of “code enforcement,” here are a few “thousand words.”

Look at the pictures to the right on this Web page.

No, not my picture, but the three below it.

All of the photographs were taken Saturday, July 19, 2008.

All of them are either located inside the proposed ‘downtown overlay’ zone, or within two city blocks of that same zone, in clear view.

And, all, I believe, are covered by existing ordinances of the city.

Code enforcement. ‘Nuff said.
