Corsicana Rotary Freedom Festival and 2008 Duck Dash will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at I.O.O.F. Park. The entire community is invited to come to this Fourth of July celebration. The 13th annual Kerens Old-Fashioned Fourth, sponsored by the Kerens Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held in downtown Kerens beginning at 6 p.m. Bring your decorated bike, trike, pet (on a leash), baby stroller, scooter, roller skates (use your imagination) and meet in front of the Kerens Chamber of Commerce for the parade. There will be a cake walk, train rides, horseshoe contest, washer pitching contest, bounce slide, cow plop bingo, raffles, live music, and lots more fun and games. Hot dog dinner will be $3, watermelon slices will be $1, and homemade ice cream will be $1. Fireworks will be at the baseball field after dark. American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., has new events starting this month. Every Wednesday night there will be a Shuffleboard Tournament at 6 p.m., starting today. Every Friday night there will be Karaoke practice and DJ, starting at 7 p.m. Every Sunday there will be a domino tournament at 3 p.m., starting July 13, and snacks to purchase.
