Adult softball leagues forming

The Corsicana Parks and Recreation office is forming adult softball leagues for the summer. Four divisions will be offered with a men’s open, industrial, church and co-ed league. For more information contact Darrell O’Sullivan at (903) 851-1182.



Kerens COC golf tourney slated

The Kerens Area Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the second annual golf tournament for Saturday, May 31 at the Oak Trail Golf Club in Corsicana.

Golfers may sign up at the Oak Trail Golf Club pro shop or at the Kerens Chamber of Commerce office at 101 S. Colket Avenue in Kerens.

The tournament is a four person scramble and the entry fee is $50 per player. Registration deadline is May 28. For more information contact the Kerens Chamber of Commerce at (903) 396-2391.



Rice athletic banquet slated

Tickets for the Rice High School athletic banquet go on sale Monday and may be purchased through athletic director David Currey at the high school.

The cost for tickets are $8.

The banquet is scheduled for Monday, May 19 at the high school.



YMCA conducting T-ball registration

The Corsicana YMCA is holding T-ball registration for children ages 4-7 years of age now through May 17 at the Corsicana YMCA. Cost of the league is $25 for members and $50 for non-members. Team shirt and ball cap will be supplied with registration. For more information please call the YMCA at (903) 872-2412.
