Blue All-Stars eliminated in regionals, 7-5

The road to the Bronco League World Series came to an end for the Corsicana Blue All-Stars Saturday.
Corsicana was eliminated by North Richland Hills, 7-5 in the Bronco League Regional Tournament in Rowlett Saturday.
“We were exceptionally pleased with how our kids played throughout the tournament,” Blue All-Stars’ coach Russell Anderson said. “The kids never quit and continued to battle.
“We didn’t have one dominant pitcher, but everyone contributed for us. They represented Corsicana youth baseball very well.”
Luke Jordan and Brian French each drove in a run on a double for the Blue All-Stars, with Aaron Cantu and Carlos Vega both connecting for a hit.
Buddy Sloan and Brett Anderson combined to allow five runs on the mound for Corsicana.
After losing in the opening round to Burleson, 7-2 the Blue All-Stars battled back.
Ben Goodrich and French manned the mound for Corsicana, which topped Rowlett 14-10 Friday in a must-win game.
Anderson, French and Luke Jordan each contributed connecting for three hits.
