Kerens stomps Rice, 46-0

The difference: Kerens dominated the first quarter, scoring four touchdowns in the first nine minutes. The Bobcats outgained Rice 170 yards to six yards.

Standouts: Micheal Jordan rushed for 163 yards on only 11 carries and three touchdowns to lead the Bobcat offense. Also, quarterback Ryan Leerskov completed six of seven passes for 70 yards and two scores, while rushing for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Game notes: Kerens played without standout Pat Faulk, who was held out after an injury last week against Mildred … Turnovers continue to plague the Bulldogs. Rice turned the ball over five times, one week after losing six fumbles … Rice freshman Jabarrin Davis, filling in for leading rusher Austin Anderson, led the Bulldog offense with 58 yards.

Stat of the game: Kerens ground attack averaged 12.3 yards per carry in the first half in getting out to a 39-0 halftime lead.
