The Central Texas Challenger League will be back on the field this Saturday with Game 1 of the two-game regular season. First-pitch is scheduled for 9 a.m.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to attend and cheer on a special group of athletes. The season-opener always begins with a special entrance into the complex by the teams.
Both games the next two Saturdays will take place at the Kerens High School Softball Field off of State Highway 309 south of State Highway 31.
The league is for boys and girls 8 to 18 (or still in school) from Navarro, Henderson and Freestone counties with mental or physical handicaps. Applications forms can still be picked up at area schools through special education teachers, or at Innovative Therapies, Custom T’s or the Corsicana Daily Sun.
