Frost's Lady Polar Bears needed to win to nail down the district title and they never trailed, jumping out to a 7-0 lead en route to an 11-7 clinching victory over Itasca Friday on the road. They wrapped up their second district title in a row with a 9-1 record and enter the playoffs next week at 13-1.
Jae Moore went the distance to improve to 13-1 for the season.
The Lady Polar Bears were led at the plate by Kaycee Bowling, who went 3 for 5 with a double and three RBIs, Karlie Scott, who went 2 for 5 with a double and scored twice, Hillaree Schwartz, who went 2 for 4 and drove in a run, Kennah Kennedy, who went 1 for 3 and scored twice, Sarah Woods, who was 1 for 3 with a double and two runs and Cheyenne Pack, who went 1 for 3 with a double and scored twice.

Mitchell Solis pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out seven of the 12 outs and Kerens improved to 11-2 in the district race with one game remaining. The Bobcats (13-4) play Cayuga at home on Tuesday in a critical district showdown.
Aaron Foxworth went 2 for 3, scored once and drove in three runs Friday. Jeremy Gould went 1 for 1, drove in a run and scored three runs, and Shelton Sayles and Brett Anderson both went 1 for 2 and scored twice. Solis didn't have an official at-bat but he scored twice.
