CHS Basketball: Lady Tigers finish second in Biltz Tournament


Corsicana — Wortham girls stays perfect

Wortham’s girls basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 51-8 victory over Coolidge Friday night. Wortham led 21-0 at halftime. Sara Sessions led the way with 13 points, and Kamarie Freeman (10 points),  Kierra Busby (8), Courtney Chasteen (7), Precious Busby (6) Kirsten Chamber (5) followed.

Wortham beat Itasca 52-39 on Tuesday. Kierra Busby (21), Kamarie Freeman (8), Elisha Libhart (8) and Kirsten Chambers (7) led thr way.


Frost Lady Polar Bears improve to 2-0

Frost’s girls basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 54-16 victory over Eustace Friday night. Frost led 31-6 at halftime. The Lady Polar Bears were led by Diana Rios (15 points), Madison Revill (13),  Jae Moore 1, Karlie Scott (8) and Heather Montgomery (5).


Dawson’s girls  roll by Rice

Dawson’s girls basketball team beat Rice 42-29 on Friday.  Sophomore Stephanie Lindsey led Dawson with 21 points, 17 rebounds and seven steals. Kaylee Martinez had 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals.


Rice boys turn back Dawson

Rice took care of Dawson 62-21 on friday. Rice was led by Nezar (19 points), Arteaga (18 points and Huffman (11).
