Martin was a standout youth player despite Rice High School not having a soccer program. She went on to star at Navarro for two seasons.

Martin, who recently finished her senior season as a forward for Texas Women’s University, was selected to the 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Central Region third team.

Martin is the second player in TWU soccer history to earn the NSCAA All-Region honor.

The All-Region selection was the third postseason award for Martin this season. She was selected to the First Team All-Lone Star Conference and LSC All-Academic Team.

Martin led the Pioneers in scoring the last two seasons and set a new single-season record in points (23) and goals (10) this season. She finished the season ranked second in the conference in both categories. Martin also led the team in shots (57) and shots on goal (28).
