Buffalo 70,

 Mildred 43

Buffalo upset the Eagles, who have just two losses in the District 23-2A race and can still win the title with wins over Rice, Blooming Grove and Marlin.

But Tuesday’s loss does shake up the 23-2A race, which is wide open with three games left.

Blooming Grove (7-2), which was tied for third with Buffalo last week, now has a chance to win the title Mildred is 7-2 in the district and plays Rice, which is arguably the most dangerous team in the district because the Bulldogs play everyone close, at home Friday and then goes on the road to Blooming Grove and Marlin, which beat Mildred earlier, to end the season.

Draylon Sterling led Mildred with 21 points Tuesday and Jase Butler dropped in 12.
