Navarro’s Bulldogs pulled out a critical Region XIV baseball game on Friday afternoon, beating Angelina 2-1 in 10 innings to open a three-game series with the Roadrunners.
The victory gave the Bulldogs a 3-1 record in the region as they headed into the second game of the doubleheader.
It was a wild scene at Navarro, where the players stormed out of the dugout and celebrated on the field after Mason Hesse slid home with the winning run. Grayson Lewis delivered the game-winning hit to bring in Hesse.
Navarro players were jumping in the air and landing on Lewis as they poured out of the dugout and onto the field.
