Navarro was outhit in its doubleheader opener with Alvin Monday, but still managed to do just enough to pull out a victory.
Zach Hobbs scattered seven hits and gave up both runs, but Blake Griffin recorded the final two outs to get the win in a 3-2 victory in Game 1.
Alvin won Game 2, 8-7.
Hobbs allowed only one earned run, and he struck out three.
The Bulldogs actually trailed, 2-0, heading to the bottom of the fourth. They plated single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to tie, then pushed a run across in the seventh for the win.
John Clay Reeves, Campbell Cooper and Mason Salazar all had a hit and run in the opener. Drake Roberts, Byron Reichstein and Tyler Wilson each had hits and an RBI, including Wilson’s game-winner in the seventh.
The Bulldogs were outhit, 7-6.
In Game 2, Navarro led 7-4 before Alvin erupted for four runs in the eighth. Reichstein, Roberts, Reeves and Grayson Lewis all had two hits each for the Bulldogs in the finale. Reichstein and Kaleb Goodell had triples for the Bulldogs, who used a three-run fifth and a two-run sixth to come back from an early 4-1 hole.
Jack Moffit started on the mound for the Bulldogs, and went four innings, allowing four runs.
