at Meridian

7:30 p.m. Friday

RECORDS: Class 1A Dawson is 0-6. Class 1A Meridian is 3-4, 1-0 in District 9-1A, Division II.

Meridian edged out Wortham with a final score of 20-15 last week ... the Bulldogs are coming off an overwhelming loss to Normangee in which they scored their first touchdown since the opener against Crossroads ... the killer for Dawson has been the amount of first quarter touchdowns the Dogs have given up ... the key to this game for the Bulldogs will definitely be to stop the Yellow Jackets early and give the offense a chance to work ... turnovers were another major problem, as Dawson fumbled 8 times and lost 5 ... Dawson will look to balance its offense and increase its pass-run ratio ... the Bulldogs attempted only two passes last week and would like to keep Meridian off balance ... a big improvement for the Bulldogs came when they got on the scoreboard last week and had more long drives, and looks to improve on that.
