KERENS — Talk about drama.
You can find it everywhere in the playoffs these days.
Just look at what happened Wednesday night in Kerens, where the 6-and-under T-ball Bobcats from Kerens moved into the championship game of the district tournament with the help of a walk-off grand slam.
J.J. Hightower cleared the bases and lifted Kerens to a 24-21 win against the Canton Pirates in the bottom of the fifth inning to send the Bobcats to their third game of the day in the winners bracket.
The Bobcats made it to the title game with a 19-4 win over the Mabank Lake Monsters. Bryce Lincoln had two home runs in that game, and Kaden Satterfied hit a homer for Kerens.
The Bobcats won three games on Wednesday, including a 16-1 win against the Canton Rangers to start the day. Lane Lynch and Ryan Priddy each hit two homers in that game.
