Corsicana — The Tigers fell behind early in Jacksonville Friday, but came back to beat the Indians, 14-3, in six innings.
It pushed the Tigers to 4-1 in District 16-4A, and 17-5 overall.
Trevor Nolen got the win on the mound, going 4 2/3s innings. He allowed two runs on four hits, and had three strikeouts. He also went 3 for 3 at the plate with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs to pace the offense. The Tigers had 14 hits, and had four innings of two or more runs, including five in the fourth as they built a 9-1 lead.
The Tigers had six players with at least two hits. DJ Minniear was 3 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Rhett Holcomb went 2 for 2 (2 BBs, 2 RBIs), Layton Wolver was 2 for 5 (RBI, run), Bobby Lopez was 2 for 4 (2-2Bs, RBI, run) and Joe Vasquez was 2-= for 4 (RBI, 2 runs).
