Corsicana soccer: Tigers sweep games in Lorena

Corsicana — The Tigers soccer team matched last season’s win total with a 2-0 victory over Lorena on Friday night.

Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers beat Lorena 1-0 in a game that ended early in the second half because of an injury to a Lorena player.

The Tiger boys are 5-4-1 on the season. The Lady Tigers improved to 6-2-2.

The Corsicana-Lorena girls game was stopped with 30 minutes left in the second half with a 0-0 score because leg injury to a Lorena player that required her to being transported by air to the hospital. The Lady Tigers were set to take a penalty kick in the box after the foul.
