Mildred’s softball team, ranked No. 6 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s state poll, had no trouble drubbing Marlin, 22-0, in a District 23-2A game on Tuesday. The game lasted only three innings.
Taylor White pitched three perfect innings and struck out five to improve to 4-0, and Maddie Moore led the way at the late, going 3 for 3 with a home run and five RBI’s. Savannah Pritchett, who went 1 for 1 and drove in three runs, and Morgan McCreary, who went 2 for 2 with a homer and three RBIs, also had big games for Lady Eagles at the plate.
Mildred is 14-2 and 4-0 in district play.
Hubbard 12. Dawson 5
Ty Graves, who went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs, and Trey Henderson, who went 2 for 4 and drove in three runs, led the Jags at the plate. Graves (5-0) picked up the win on the mound.
Hubbard is now 11-1 for the season and 3-0 in district play.
