The Frost Polar Bears scored in all areas of the game to defeat Itasca 49-20. The Polar Bears defense scored first as DB Robert Worley scooped up an Itasca fumble and returned it 38-yards for a touchdown early in the first quarter. The Special Teams squad scored early in the second quarter as Kobe Hailey picked up a bobbled kickoff return, weaved down the left hash, picked up blocks, veered to his right, and zipped down the right sideline 89-yards for a touchdown. The Bears offense didn't score until 2:19 left in the second quarter when Zach Terry scrambled 20-yards behind a Woody Woods block.
The Bears only ran four offensive plays in the first quarter, but controlled the clock in the second half. The Bears put the game away behind a balanced running attack and three touchdown runs - two by Woods and one by Hailey.
Woods also added a safety with 6:34 in the fourth quarter. Frost fumbled at the Itasca four yard- line. On third down and twelve from the Itasca two yard-line, Woods shot through the Wampus Cat line and sacked QB Brandon Farquhar in the end zone.
