Blooming Grove blanks Oak Cliff Life, 20-0

DALLAS — Tyler Ellis rushed for a touchdown, passed for another and booted a pair of field goals to lead the Blooming Grove Lions to a 20-0 win over Life Oak Cliff.

The Lions (4-2, 2-1 in District 6-2A DII) scored on the opening drive of the game, capped by Ellis’ 53 yard scamper at the 8:53 mark in the first period. Ellis then booted a 30-yard field goal with a 10:19 left in the second quarter.

The Lions scored again in the first half when Ellis connected with Brandon Hays on a 43-yard TD pass with 14 seconds remaining before intermission. Ellis added a 27-yard field goal with 20 seconds left in the third quarter.
