Navarro Soccer: Bulldogs' magical run ends in national title game
The disappointment was both understandable, and palpable. However, in the aftermath of Navarro College’s 3-1 loss to top-seeded Iowa Western in the NJCAA national championship women’s soccer game Saturday, there was also another feeling: “I’m proud of every single one of those girls over there, and my coaches” co-captain Lexi Riggs said.
GC Basketball: Roundup: Kerens girls, Rice boys win on Friday
Kerens' LadyCats beat Maypearl in overtime and Rice's Bulldogs build an 18-point lead and run away from Kemp, 87-80 on Friday.
GC Football: Leonard ends Blooming Grove’s season, 35-21

GC Football: Big second quarter propels Tenaha by Frost
If last year’s season seemed like a dream for Frost, Friday’s second half was indeed a nightmare. There was no near-miracle finish against Tenaha this year.
Six touchdowns in a quarter will ensure that.
Tenaha built a 49-point halftime lead and cruised to a 63-8 victory in the Region III-1A DII area finals at Lindale.
NJCAA Soccer: Garcia’s goal lifts Navarro into national title game
First, she freaked out.
Then, she blacked out.
And in the crazy, celebratory crush of her teammates, Naialani Garcia could barely breathe. Her two fractured heels, well, they still hurt … but not as much.
