  • GC Softball: Hubbard, Curtis shut out Axtell 3-0

For Hubbard’s Olivia Curtis the magic number was 15 -- as in 15 wins and 15 strikeouts.
But don’t stop counting now. There’s plenty left for Curtis and her Hubbard teammates who have made the most of their stretch run in the district race, and capped off a huge week with a 3-0 win over Axtell on Friday.

  • Kevin Reese mug.jpg Outdoors: Kevin Reese — Hunting hogs helps habitat, farmers, ranchers

The trail before me snaked through an intimidating, ridiculously tall thicket. I quickened my pace, anxious to get to my stand while my Hawglite Sabre cast its intense red LED lighting through the edge of tall blood -weeds to form eerie shadows. As luck would have it, to add to an already uneasy walk in, those towering blood-weeds swayed overhead forming an intimidating archway ripe for things that go bump in the night.

  • Morgan: Etcetera ... etc ... etc ...

The business manager for the Dallas Cowboys has done it again. He took the state of the art stadium and converted it to a great basketball facility.

Next up for the House That Jerry Built will be the NCAA’s first ever football tournament’s championship game followed by the Fiftieth Annual American Country Music Awards show.  Now, if they could just find a GM as good as their business manager.
