GC Girls Basketball: 19-1A DII All-District team - Moore wins MVP, Frost dominates team
It’s no surprise that the Frost Lady Bears dominated the selections on the District 19-1A DII girls All-District team that was announced Friday as three Frost players earned superlatives, including Jae Moore, who was the district’s MVP, and two other starters were named to the all-district second team.
Moore, a sophomore, led Frost all year in scoring and rebounding as well as being a leader on and off the court.
Frost senior Diana Rios was named the district’s Defensive Player of the Year, and Karlee Scott, a freshman, was named the district’s Co-Newcomer of the Year along with Gholson’s Nesha Loyd.

GC Basketball: Frost rips Blum 69-44 to win Class 1A DII Area round game
On the first possession of the game, Frost’s Kobe Hailey took a pass in traffic and banked in an inside shot.
The message was sent that early, just that quickly and that dramatically Thursday night.
Frost was coming inside.
And Blum could do nothing about it.
By the time it was over, Frost had scored 40 points in the paint, and Blum staggered out of the Whitney High gym, looking up at a 69-44 loss to the Polar Bears, who didn’t just win the Class 1A DII Area round game to advance to the regional quarterfinals in the state playoffs, they won it with a statement.
