(10-01-09) Willingham story makes top of most viewed list on CNN.com

News of Wednesday's move by Texas Governor Rick Perry to remove three panel members from the Texas State Forensic Commission, delaying a scheduled hearing on the arson investigation of Cameron Todd Willingham, was the most viewed story on CNN.com on Thursday afternoon.

Willingham was executed in 2004 after being found guilty of the deaths of his three children in a 1991 house fire that investigators said was arson.

An expert hired by the state commission concluded the original arson probe was flawed.

Craig Beyler was to have presented his report to the panel Friday, but the new chairman named by Perry on Wednesday canceled the meeting, and put the commission's activities on hold until further notice.

The CNN.com report showed the story about Perry's actions was the most viewed story on CNN.com between 3 and 4 p.m.
