Donkey basketball in Kerens
America's craziest and most unpredictable sport — Donkey Basketball — will be featured at Kerens Middle School Gym at 7 p.m. Monday, May 23. The teams will be made up of KISD Faculty/Admin vs. Seniors of 2011.
Circle A Donkey Ball Show brings their combination of circus atmosphere and rodeo thrills to town for the benefit of the Senior class of 2012.
The old saying, "stubborn as a mule," will be exemplified when the local riders match wits with the donkeys. The odds are that in most cases the donkeys will win. There will be plenty of laughs for the entire family during this fun-filled evening.
You haven't witnessed basketball until you have seen it played on donkeys. It is really a little different than regular basketball. Taking a shot at the basket when the donkey decides to go the other way, or decides you have been on his back too long, can be difficult. Every shot at the basket must be taken while sitting on the donkey.
If you are looking for a fun-filled evening for the entire family, come out and watch the local "cowboys" challenge the Funny Long Eared Donkey Stars that will be in the game.
Donkey Ball is not a laugh-a-minute sport, but rather a laugh-a-second sport. You won't want to miss this fun-filled evening. Get your advance tickets early and see your local faculty and students become Rodeo Stars. You'll be glad you did.
Advance tickets are $8.00 and are available at the Kerens High School office, the Kerens Chamber of Commerce, and The Kerens City Office.
