Lauren Kay Rash and Paul Anderson Hable were joined in holy matrimony Nov. 16, 2007, overlooking the beautiful Texas Hill Country near Austin.
Lauren is the daughter of Gene and Jill Rash of Richland. Paul is the son of Paul and Kay Hable of Corsicana.
The wedding took place at the Villa Antonia near Austin, at 5:15 p.m. The Rev. Paul Tate presided over the ceremony.
The bride wore an ivory silk charmeuse V-neck bias gown with a low-scooped back and Swarovski-crystal beaded straps. She carried a bouquet of long-stem sage orchids, white hybrid lilies, and Eskimo roses wrapped in antique white ribbon.
Kristen Thornburg of Fairfield served as maid of honor, with Melissa Morris of Houston as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Decordova of Groesbeck, Krystal Hettich of Waco, Natalie Gentry of Nacogdoches, and flower girls were Mimi and Dylan Sweeney of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Best man was Jeff Woychesin of Fort Worth, and groomsmen were Larry Battles of Corsicana, Christopher Farmer of Fort Worth, and Jason Payne of Corsicana. Ushers were Marlon Cockerell of Fairfield and Andy Meadows of Fort Worth.
The ceremony, which took place at sunset, featured a pathway for the guests of white Eskimo rose petals and white lilies wrapped in sage silk ribbon. The wedding vows were exchanged under a canopy of wild smilax and white hybrid lilies. Also hanging from the canopy were antique white satin ribbons attached to votive candles which illuminated the intimate evening ceremony. As guests gathered for the ceremony, the Divisi string quartet played on an adjoining balcony.
Following the wedding ceremony guests were invited into the stone and marble candle-lit atrium of Villa Antonia where hors d’oeuvres were served. After the cocktail reception, dinner was served in the grand ballroom where tables were adorned by tea lights accenting crystal vases filled with white hydrangeas, bells of Ireland, and strands of crystal intertwined amid curly willow. Post-dinner, family and friends joined the couple across the courtyard at another ballroom where they were entertained by Texas singer/songwriter Brandon Rhyder, a special artist and friend of the newlyweds.
After the wedding, the bride and groom honeymooned in several locations including Puerto Rico, Antigua and Barbuda.
