Crank-Curington Wedding
Casi Dawn Crank of Durant, Okla., and John David Curington of Corsicana were united in marriage Jan. 2, 2009, in a double-ring ceremony at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Corsicana. The Rev. Lee Wyatt officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Lynee and Ron Crank of Durant, Okla. The groom is the son of Mona and David Curington of Corsicana and the grandson of Helen Curington, also of Corsicana.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a full-length diamond white gown with a chapel-length train. The lace bodice of the empire-waist gown was encrusted with crystal and white beads. The wrap waist and half-sleeves were also encrusted with beads, as was the hem of the gown and train. Her fingertip length veil, also encrusted with crystal and white beads, fell from below a cascade of ringlets. The bride’s bouquet, designed by her mother, contained silver, white and shades of blue.
The church decor was also designed by the bride’s mother. In the sanctuary, planters on the altar rail and candelabra were decorated in the bride’s chosen colors of blue, silver and white. The reception was held in the church’s fellowship hall, which was transformed into a fairy tale winter wonderland. A fountain trickled and sparkled next to a romantic gazebo for the bride and groom. Tables for wedding guests were covered with blue tablecloths, and decorated with round mirrors on which were placed crystal, white and blue arrangements that carried out the winter theme.
Classical music for the ceremony and popular music for the reception were selected by the groom.
The bride’s three-tiered cake was decorated with blue roses and white swags. The cake topper was entwined hearts. The groom’s chocolate cake was covered with musical notes and “With you I am in tune.” Both cakes were made by Celia Johnson. Catering was by Alisia Greer.
Crystal Grace of Durant, Okla., a friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. The flower girl was Abigail Grace. Serving as bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Kelly Langford of Durant, Okla.; Kelli Crank of Durant, Okla.; Leslie LeMaster of Denison; and Katie Babb of Durant, Okla.
The bridesmaids wore sleeveless dresses in wisteria blue with sky blue sashes and wraps. The matron of honor’s dress was sky blue with a wisteria sash and wrap. The flower girl’s dress was white with a silver sash.
Serving as best man was Michael Abrahamson of Arlington, a friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Caden Crank, the bride’s son. The groom’s attendants were friends Lance Johnson of Corsicana, Justin Berry of Corsicana, Erin Kittley of Denton and Stacey Wiley of Denton. The groom’s male attendants wore black tuxedos, white shirts and sky blue vests. The groom’s female attendants wore black dresses, styled like the bridesmaids’ dresses, with sky blue sashes. The ring bearer wore a black tuxedo, white shirt and silver vest, while the groom’s attire was a black tuxedo, white shirt and dark blue vest. Ushers were Wesley Crank and Rusty Crank, the bride’s brothers.
Guests attended from Corsicana, Durant, Okla., Stillwater, Okla., Enid, Okla., Arlington, Kerrville, Huntsville, Denton, Katy, College Station and Waco.
The couple honeymooned in Shreveport, La., and currently resides in Corsicana until John begins graduate school at the University of North Texas in the fall.
