Hayes-Simmons Wedding

Holly Katherine Hayes and Trenton Thomas Simmons were married on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. The Rev. Stan Copeland officiated at the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mrs. Carol Blackburn Hayes of Dallas and Mr. Gregory Raymond Hayes of Dallas and Mount Pleasant. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Barton Simmons of Dallas. Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Edgar Wright Blackburn of Corsicana and the late Mr. Blackburn and Mr. Charles Raymond Hayes of Dallas and the late Mrs. Hayes. The groom’s grandparents are Mrs. George Clifford Sculley of Richardson and the late Mr. Sculley and Mr. Charles James Simmons of Longview and the late Mrs. Simmons.

Attending the bride as maids of honor were McKenna Leigh Lossman of Houston and Christine Caldwell Seay of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Maria Mekele DeNegri of Oklahoma City, Okla., Emily Ruth Dowell of Cushing, Okla., Taylor Ann Fritschen of Midland, Lindsey Nicole Loveday of Fredrick, Okla., Kimberly Nall Simmons of Dallas, and Katherine Ann Smith of Dallas. Lauren Elizabeth Chafin of Madison, Miss., attended the bride as junior bridesmaid. The groom’s brothers, Andrew Joseph Simmons and Barton Grant Simmons, both of Dallas, served as best men. Groomsmen included Amir Joseph Arad of Houston, Christopher Jordan Gray of Southlake, Dax Alan Gitcho of Denver, Colo., Kyle Gregory Hayes of Mount Pleasant, Matthew Russell Lemmond of Dallas, and Jon Joseph Strickler of Oklahoma City, Okla. Serving as ushers were Richard Lane Olson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Raymond Blake Simmons of Katy, Slone Everton Starkey of Arlington, and Randall Lynn Tamplen of Corinth. Junior ushers were Samuel David Chafin of Madison, Miss., and Trenton Patrick Gage of Peyton, Colo. Mary Alyce Holloman of Greenville served as flower girl and Bradley Thomas Simmons of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, was ring bearer. James Andrew Chafin and Jon William Chafin were candlelighters.

A reception featuring dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at Northwood Club in Dallas.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy in Addison and a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in elementary education. She was a member of Chi Omega, serving as president of the chapter. The groom graduated from Richardson High School in 2002. He attended New Mexico Military Institute and Tarleton State University where he played on the baseball teams and graduated with a degree in marketing from the University of Oklahoma in 2007. He currently is in commercial sales with Texas Power in Arlington. After a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos the couple will make their home in Fort Worth.
