On Wednesday, Navarro County Narcotics Officers along with Department of Public Safety Narcotics personnel arrested five individuals on narcotics related charges in Hillsboro.
Two of those arrested were Corsicana natives and the other three were not from the county.
Approximately 464 grams of methamphetamine in the form of ICE was seized at the time of arrest.
Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, Navarro County Capt. Elmer Tanner was not able to furnish a lot of information. Tanner did say that the investigation is bigger than this single bust.
The suspects were all arrested and charged on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. The charges have been filled through the Federal Court Western District of Texas in Waco.
“We are not going to let up and we are going to continue to do narcotics investigations,” Sheriff Les Cotten said. “We will keep doing our job.”
No names were given by Tanner.
