Navarro County reported no new cases of COVID-19 and 32 recoveries Wednesday, May 27. The Corsicana-Navarro County Public Health Department reports that of the county's 49 cases, 15 are currently considered active, with one patient hospitalized. To date, there two related deaths reported.
Cases have been confirmed throughout the county, located in and around Corsicana, Barry, Blooming Grove, Dawson, Emhouse, Rice, Kerens, and Powell.
Testing numbers will no longer be updated daily. Daily reports provided by the Navarro County Office of Emergency Management will only share information related to positive cases, recoveries, and fatalities.
According to Eric Meyers, Emergency Management Coordinator, the change is due to the high volume of tests being performed out of county without notifications.
For individuals tested positive for the virus outside of Navarro County, please contact the Corsicana-Navarro County Public Health Department at 903-874-6731 upon notification.
