Navarro County reported its fifth case of COVID-19 Thursday, April 2 in Corsicana. Cases have been confirmed in Corsicana, Rice, and near Dawson and Emhouse. To date, there have been 81 people tested, with 17 still awaiting results, and one death.

The Corsicana-Navarro County Public Health Department reported the county's first COVID-19 related death, Wednesday, April 1.

"Stay Home, Stay Safe" Emergency Declaration Orders in place for the City of Corsicana and Navarro County from 11:59 p.m. March 25 until April 8 at 11:59 p.m. These orders are for the City of Corsicana and the unincorporated areas in Navarro County.

Residents are asked to remember distancing guidelines, especially in large retail stores. Also, if you have an employee who is sick, please ask them to stay home.

County Stakeholders continue to meet daily to discuss current conditions, unmet needs, and operational procedures for every sector. City and County leaders are researching additional steps to help stop the spread.
