Lima Taverna is excited to announce that their wine menu is expanding to include Texas wines from Angelita Vineyard & Winery, an internationally acclaimed boutique winery in Corsicana.
Eliseo Figueroa, Manager of Lima Taverna, and Beverly Spahn, owner of Angelita Vineyard & Winery will present a tasting of their wines from 4 to 7 p.m. June 15 at Lima Taverna, located at 621 W. Plano Parkway, Suite 247.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste these exciting Texas grown wines that pair so well with the diverse and fresh tastes of ceviche, pescados and other delicacies from Peru served at Lima Taverna. It is sure to be a unique sensory experience.
At guests' request, Lima Taverna is looking to add Texas wines to their menu and support this award winning local winery. The wines to be presented include both a red and a white wine
Harvested in 2018 from Angelita Vineyard, Anna's Angel is a well balanced white Blanc du Bois with a hint of passion fruit and white peach laced with delicate floral and fruit herbal notes.
Texas Vendetta is a smooth and silky, full bodied Texas blend of Merlot, Ruby Cabernet and Cab Franc.
“We have heard some people say 'Texas can’t make a great wine',” said Spahn. “But Texas Vendetta was our vengeance to prove them wrong – and that we did!”
Texas Vendetta is a Gold medal winner for Texas and a Silver medal winner for limited production at the 2018 International Lone Star Wine Competition.
