Bethel A.M.E. Church and the Dennis Johnson Women Missionary Society will be in charge of Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 31. Special guest speaker will be Rev. Barbara Mitchell. She is a former member of the Stellar and Grammy Award wining group God’s Property with Kirk Franklin. She has worked with renowned producers including Sanchez Harley. She lead vocals with the “Women of Worship” Crown Collection. She also performed on television shows such as Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel, TBN and Daystar with Marcus and Joni Lamb. Mitchell is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, evangelist, author, administrator and business woman in the Body of Christ. Local WMS is Sis. Du’Ane Yancy, Debra Bas Uzzel and the Northwest Texas Conference Missionary President is Sis. Penny Liggins.

Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate it’s Pastor and Wife's 34th Church Anniversary at 3:30 p.m. April 14. Pre anniversary service will begin at 3:30 p.m. April 7. The church is located at 409 E. Third St.

Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will host its springtime annual Lord’s Acre from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at 1437 S. 45th St. Live auction will be held at 1 p.m. There will be a turkey and dressing dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take outs available and a cake walk. $10 for adults and $8 per child while supplies last. Westminister Presbyterian Church begins its 2019 season of Lent with a multi-part presentation by Dr. Andy Dearman.
