Bethel A.M.E. Church, the Dennis Johnson Women Missionary Society is pleased to announce its annual day at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 30. Our own Beth-elite Sis. Penny Liggins is the messenger for the hour. Sis. Penny is in her third year as the NWTX Conference Missionary President, Steward, VP of the Gospel Choir, President of the Stewardess Board, Lay Organization President and Secretary of the presiding Elder Quarterly Conferences. She is the mother of daughter, Brittney Deckard and the best grandmother ever to Zachary, Za'Ryah and Zane Deckard and mother-in-law to Jeremy Deckard. She is employed with Guardian Home Health Care agency for eight years.

Trinity Assembly of God, 109 FM 2452, located on West Highway 31 on the corner of FM 2452, invites the community to its Sunday night worship service at 6 p.m. June 23. Meal will be served after. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Ricky and Terri Smith of Flynn will be ministering.

Westside Baptist Church will host its fifth Sunday Gospel Singing celebration at 6 p.m. June 30. Th all music program will consist of solos, duets, trios, quartets and the Westside Choir. Pastor Dan Layne will be guest soloist. A special piano medley and recitation will be presented by Bro. Phil Dickson. The public is invited to attend the program and the southern style fellowship immediately following the service. Nursery will be provided. Second Mission Baptist Church, 909 S. Fifth St. where Dr. Paul A. Redic serves as Pastor will host its Family and Friends' Day at 3:30 p.m. June 23. Grace Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church will be celebrating its Men’s Day, at 3 p.m. June 23, 2019. The men of the church are planning a spirit-filled service on this day. Guest speaker for the event is Reverend W. H. Goodwin, Jr. of the Grace Deliverance Bible Church, Dallas. The public is invited to come and fellowship on this special day. Bro. Larry Deeds is the chairperson, Bro. Marshall Deeds and Bro. Robert Davis are the co-chairpersons, Rev. Michael and Joann Donaldson are the pastors.

Northside Baptist Church, at 2800 N. Beaton St, has launched a new Spanish speaking ministry and called a new Associate Pastor to Hispanic families, Raj Kripalani. New Victory in Christ Sanctuary, 805 S. 15th St. invites the community to its Holy Ghost Revival at 7 p.m. nightly July 6,13,20, and 27. Guest speaker for July 6 will be Evangelists Nixon Morgan of Church of Love in Red Oak; guest speaker for July 13 is Pastor C. D. Washington Sr. of Greater Haynes COGIC in Mexia; guest speaker for July 20 will be Pastor Richard Manning of Greater True Vine B.C. In Waco and Pastor D.R. The Women of Glory Ministry will celebrate their annual at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24 at Liberty Tabernacle of God Church located on W. Eighth Ave, and 37th Street where Erma J. Waites serves as Pastor. Speakers will be Sis. Chasity Miller of Genesis Full Gospel Outreach Ministries and Minister Florine Hubbard of the Macedonia Baptist Church. The president is Minister Thelma Stewart, Founder, Pastor Erma J. Waites, and Advisors Pastors Alvin E. Smith and David E. Wilson.

Genesis Full Gospel Outreach Ministries located at 515 N. Fifth St. will celebrate the Second Pastoral Appreciation and 15 years of Ministry for Pastors David and Sharron Wilson at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. First Baptist Church of Eureka's youth groups are raising funds to go to preteen Church Camp, Teens trip, Mini-Camp for kindergarten through second grade, as well as other activities they do throughout the year. Fish, chicken nuggets, fries, hush puppies, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, Tea and a dessert.

You can get your plates To Go, or stay and eat. Price is by Donation. You donate what the Lord leads you to give, and we serve you a great meal. Please come out and support them.

Bethel A.M.E. Church, The Dennis Johnson Missionary Society of Bethel is pleased to announce the rescheduling of the annual Prayer Breakfast from Feb. 9 to Saturday, June 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be the “Awesome Women of God” Rev. Pamela Colbert, who is the pastor of Brown Chapel A.M.E Church in Pelham. There will be food, fun and fellowship. Donations are $10. Dr. Rev. Robert L. Uzzel – pastor; Sis.
