On Saturday, June 15, Kerri Anderson Donica of Corsicana, Texas, will be installed as president of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
With 3,300 members, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association is the largest statewide association of criminal defense lawyers in the country, as well as the nation’s oldest—now celebrating 48 years defending individual freedoms.
Kerri Anderson Donica received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and her law degree from Baylor Law School. She served as an Assistant District Attorney in Navarro County before opening her private practice at the Law Office of Kerri Anderson Donica.
Kerri has been very active in TCDLA, having been a member since 1987. She has served in every capacity with the organization. One of her primary contributions to TCDLA is serving as a dean of its annual Trial College, which trains lawyers to better represent the citizen accused of criminal activity. Kerri frequently speaks around the state to criminal defense lawyers related to a variety of topics affecting the defense of persons accused of crimes.
Kerri is active in her community, having served as president of the Corsicana Independent School District Board of Trustees, as a trustee at Northside Baptist Church, and as Corsicana’s City Attorney. Kerri is the proud mother of Hunter, who builds retirement communities with his dad, and Heath, who pitches for the Oakland Athletics organization and is married to Ashley.
