Head and Body Hunters, Inc. Boxing Gym will host an open house and fundraising event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at its location at 2002 Valley Dr. in Corsicana, just behind Taco Casa.
Everyone is invited to come check out the space and meet gym founder and lifetime boxer, coach Joseph Miles.
“If you have been meaning to check it out, or are just hearing about it for the first time, this would be a great opportunity to come by,” Miles said.
In addition to it being an open house, there will be a bounce house and a variety of food available for purchase as part of the fundraising.
“I started boxing in my youth and have kept at it throughout my life,” Miles said. “I started Head and Body Hunters as a means to convey all that I have learned to new generations. It is so much more than just learning proper techniques. It is about discipline and respect that carry through all aspects of life. It is about finding your limits and pushing past them to discover more in yourself than you thought you ever had. I would love for you to come out this Saturday and see the gym. We’re just getting started and any and all help you can provide during the fundraiser will be greatly appreciated by us and the growing number of kids who train here.”
The gym is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. walk-ins are welcome. From 5 to 7 p.m. youth and young adult training will be available and adults will train from 7 to 9 p.m.
