A Frost student has died after an accident on school grounds last weekend.
The incident was investigated as an accidental death by the Navarro County Sheriff's Department, which has concluded its investigation according to Sheriff Elmer Tanner.
Reportedly, the student was using a piece of training equipment that fell on him causing fatal injuries.
The district's statement read as follows:
“Frost ISD is grieving the tragic loss of a precious eighth grade student. We will continue to respect the privacy of the families, pray for them, and focus on supporting them through this difficult time.”
According to Superintendent Mickie Jackson, counselors will be available to provide support to students as they return to campus Monday.
