A two-vehicle crash left two men injured Monday morning on State Highway 22 near Frost.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the preliminary investigation shows that around 6:30 a.m. Dec. 2, a black 2016 Chevrolet pickup was traveling west on Hwy 22, one mile east of the Hill County line, following another vehicle.
A green 1996 Toyota pickup was traveling east on Hwy 22 when the Chevrolet pickup passed the vehicle in front of it in a no passing zone.
When the Chevrolet pickup entered the eastbound lane, it struck the Toyota pickup head-on.
An air ambulance flew the driver of the Toyota pickup, 59 year-old Billy Elmore of Mertens, to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with serious injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet pickup, 56 year-old Russell Milne of Blooming Grove, was transported by ambulance to Navarro Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing and there is no other information available at this time.
