Anthony McGee, Navarro County Public Health District Registered Sanitarian, closed down Tiger's Den gas station Jan. 21 located at 1921 N. 45th St. while repairs were being made to the restrooms. The establishment was cleared to re-open the next day after the restaurant passed its follow-up inspection.

The Navarro County Public Health District is now offering food handler's courses on the third Wednesday of the month in English and every other month in Spanish. Price is $10 per person. For more information call 903-874-6731. Classes are open to everyone.

All establishments start with a score of 100. If violations are found, points are deducted. If more than 30 points are lost, the establishment must submit to a re-inspection and corrections must be made to bring the score above 70 as regulated by the Texas Food Establishment Rules. If future inspections score below 70, compliance actions will be taken.
