Caroline Harper Knapp, Corsicana native and founder of House of Harper, will be the speaker at the Spring VOICE Luncheon, held at the Corsicana Country Club at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5.

Knapp is the daughter of John and Denise Harper of Corsicana. She graduated from Corsicana High School and Texas A&M University. Caroline has over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, and recently moved her family and home-based business from New York City to Houston.

She has been recognized as a top blogger by national magazines, and has collaborated with major industry leaders in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and decorating. In mid-April, her new series, “The Southern Life” on The Design Network will begin airing, where she will share tips on how to achieve a family-friendly home with style, the Southern way.

“We are extremely excited to have Caroline as our speaker,” said Cheryl Allen, VOICE director of program advancement. “She is very talented and I am confident that all of the guests will enjoy hearing her styling advice, as well as her experiences in the fashion industry.”

Proceeds from the Spring Luncheon will assist the non-profit organization in fulfilling its mission of “empowering children, and their families to lead healthy and productive lives.” Since its beginning in Corsicana 24 years ago, VOICE has grown to reach over 50,000 individuals in 16 counties annually. That is accomplished through a variety of programs that include tobacco, alcohol and drug education, teen leadership training, and CAP, a college achievement program.

The luncheon committee, chaired by Rockie Glicksman, is currently recruiting sponsors for the event and selling tables.

“We had a great response to the request for sponsorships, but we have room for a few more,” Allen said. “We have also just opened up our table sales; a table that seats six is $400 and we expect to sell out quickly.”

Allen said anyone interested in attending the luncheon may contact her at callen@voiceinc.org or 254-855-2259.
