The Corsicana Cadet Squadron 377, Civil Air Patrol meets at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the Texas Army National Guard Armory at 3100 W. Seventh St. Youth ages 12 to 18 are encouraged and invited to come visit with parents to learn about the benefits and opportunities from being a C.A.P. Cadet. The Civil Air Patrol, the civilian volunteer auxiliary of the United State Air Force, recently announced a flight training program which provides 100% funding towards at C.A.P. Cadet to earn their private pilot license.

The Chatfield- Tupelo Community Center is hosting it's Annual Chili Cook Off and Supper at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and children 12 and under are $3. The event will be held at the Chatfield- Tupelo Community Center located at 4808 FM 1603 Chatfield. Those who would like to enter chili for judging, it is free to enter and have chili at the center by 6 p.m. There will be judging for first, second and third place. This year's Annual Chili Cook Off is sponsored by Will Thompson, candidate for Navarro County District Attorney.
